October 15, 2025 saw the 10th edition of the "AI Workshops". An event organized by ILLUIN Technology, CentraleSupélec and DATAIA Paris-Saclay Institutewith the theme "Agentic AI: promises and realities". A real highlight for all Business and AI decision-makers who want to accelerate their AI roadmap thanks to AI Agents. A rich and inspiring program for all participants.
Meta: A global tech leader's vision of the future of AI
We had the pleasure of welcoming Pierric Duthoit (Country Director, Meta France), who came to share a first-hand account of artificial intelligence at Meta. His talk focused on Meta's vision for AI, and the importance of responsible, ethical and collaborative AI.
3 key messages:
➡️ The importance of France in the AI perimeter, and of France's status in Europe
➡️ AI applied concretely in Meta apps for users and customers
➡️ The importance of an active ecosystem with open, collaborative / open-source AI(Llama)

AI Agents: definition and key concepts
At a time when 90% of companies plan to implement agentic AI before 2028(Google, The Transformative Potential of Agentic AI), Robert Vesoul (CEO and co-founder of ILLUIN Technology) revisited various notions of AI:
➡️ LLM (Large Language Model): reactive, prompt-driven, does not make decisions or take action.
➡️ AI Agent: proactive and mission-driven, an AI Agent makes decisions, acts and interacts with its environment to accomplish its mission.
➡️ Multi-agent systems: Collaboration, competition and coordination between several AI Agents.
All sectors of the business world are concerned by agentic AI: Customer Relations, IT/Security, Marketing, Legal, HR, Logistics, Banking/Finance/Insurance, Industry, Healthcare, e-commerce, Energy, etc... Institutions and public administration in the broadest sense are also investing in the deployment of agentic projects.
According to Gartner, by 2028, 33% of enterprise software applications will include agentic AI, compared with less than 1% in 2024.
The DATAIA Institute: the key role of research and the academic ecosystem for AI
Frédéric PASCAL (Director Institut DATAIA, VP AI Université Paris-Saclay) took the floor to highlight the importance of AI research, training and education facilities in France. As such, the objectives of the DATAIA Institute (officially labeled "Cluster-IA" by the French Government) are to: bring together multidisciplinary skills and boost the power of academic and industrial partners within the Paris-Saclay perimeter to :
➡️ Develop cutting-edge research in data science with a strong societal impact
➡️ Promote excellence in training
➡️ Boost relations between academia and industry
➡️ Bring together multidisciplinary research skills to produce new knowledge
Round table - Agentic AI in the enterprise: decision-makers share their experiences and visions
Hosted by Robert Vesoul (CEO and co-founder of ILLUIN Technology), this inspiring exchange brought together Aldrick Zappellini (Director Data & AI, CDO Groupe Crédit Agricole), Philippe Henneresse (Director IT Innovations, Saint-Gobain) and Renaud Monnet (VP Digital & CIO, CentraleSupélec), decision-makers within pioneering organizations, to share their concrete experience of agentic AI. From concrete use cases, challenges and first successes to strategic visions for sustainable competitive advantage.
REX Bouygues Telecom: Agentique AI at the heart of the Customer Relations professions
Alain Angerame, Director of Customer Relations and Employee Experience shared his feedback on AI Agent projects deployed within the French telecommunications leader, and took a concrete look at the future of customer relations:
➡️ Agentic AI is a real transformation opportunity for Customer Relations
➡️ The field of Customer Relations is fertile ground for the deployment of AI Agents
Automation and conversational intelligence put themselves at the service of people, to create greater fluidity, responsiveness and value.
Through a bluffing demo ofILLUIN DialogueILLUIN Technology and Bouygues Telecom showcased autonomous virtual agents 🤖 capable of handling complex calls, interacting in natural language and providing personalized responses on a large scale.
Keynote #1: AI Agents: understanding technology to better develop strategy
During this Keynote, Gautier VIAUD (Dir. R&D, ILLUIN Technology) and Xavier VACCARI (VP Strategy, ILLUIN Technology) covered the technical basics of agentic AI:
➡️ Tools and guardrails
➡️ Single and multi-agent architectures (and degrees of autonomy)
➡️ Agent evaluation and monitoring
➡️ Development and orchestration frameworks
➡️ IS integration, observability and new standards (Agent to Agent protocol, MCP protocol)
They also presented a very concrete demo of an Agent designed on the nAIxt Platform, which processes voice messages from a doctor's surgery to book appointments.
Keynote #2: How to define a coherent strategy for agentic AI?
Agentic AI promises multiple benefits, but many challenges remain before large-scale deployment. Wacim BELBLIDIA (VP AI & Products, ILLUIN Technology) and Robert VESOUL (CEO, ILLUIN Technology) provided food for thought on how companies can move forward today: by focusing on quick-wins, and laying the human, strategic and technological foundations for future scaling.
A few recommendations:
➡️ Prioritize use cases according to their fit for agents
➡️ Choose agility at every level
➡️ Think composite AI within and around agents
➡️ Prepare your company in depth for the agile era
Quote
"I think we're at a very special momentum in agentic AI. There is a maturity in a certain number of use cases that is forcing us to move forward strongly in key areas of the business (Customer Relations, Documentary, Process Automation, ...). There are also a series of challenges we need to overcome to succeed in this transformation towards Agentic AI."
Robert VESOUL, CEO of ILLUIN Technology
