How GRADeS Centre-Val de Loire and CH de Montargis improve access to medical information thanks to a sovereign AI assistant

The context, the need 📍

Every day, healthcare professionals have to consult procedures, care protocols and regulatory recommendations. But this often voluminous documentation is difficult to find, interpret or update. This results in a significant loss of time, increased pressure on teams, and risks of non-compliance.

With this in mind, GRADeS Centre-Val de Loire, in conjunction with the Centre Hospitalier de Montargis, has made artificial intelligence in healthcare a strategic focus of its roadmap. The aim is to relieve the burden on caregivers, facilitate access to business information, and guarantee regulatory compliance - within a framework that respects data sovereignty and human guarantees.

 

The approach, the solution 🛠

To meet these challenges, a conversational assistant solution for caregivers has been designed with ILLUIN Technology, via its ILLUIN Dialogue platform, dedicated to conversational agents and sovereign generative AI projects.

Deployed on a pilot basis at the Montargis hospital, the assistant enables healthcare professionals :

  • Search for documents in natural language,
  • Generate or update internal documents based on reference texts,
  • Verify the regulatory compliance of their content.

Thanks to a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) engine, the AI agent can dynamically query internal databases. It is also driven by a composite architecture, combining generative AI, decision trees and business logic, guaranteeing performance, control and response security.

Everything is hosted in France, in an HDS environment on AWS, with sovereign language models such as Mistral.

The expected benefits of the project are :

  • Immediate time savings for caregivers in document searches
  • Production of more reliable and compliant content, with support for regulatory drafting
  • Smooth adoption by professionals, thanks to an intuitive interface and natural language
  • Reproducibility of the model for other GRADeS establishments and the public hospital ecosystem.

For project teams, ILLUIN Dialogue offers a supervision interface, traceability of exchanges and regional scalability capabilities. The initiative is part of a wider dynamic of innovation in digital health, steered by ARS and GRADeS.

This project demonstrates the potential ofconversational AI in healthcare facilities: a well-designed AI assistant can truly become a business co-pilot, serving the efficiency and quality of care.

Thanks to its ability to orchestrate specialized AI agents, composite AI, integrate RAG and combine sovereignty, security and performance, the platform is establishing itself as a trusted standard for the digital transformation of the public and hospital sector.
