Provide AI solutions to recruitment challenges
This unprecedented academic and scientific partnership is part of a resolutely disruptive and ethical approach to the recruitment process. As in many other fields and sectors of activity, artificial intelligence, its advances and possibilities, together with the richness of available employment data open up many opportunities for improving recruitment approaches and human resources, both from the recruiter’s and the candidate’s perspective.
The work is directed by Céline Hudelot, PhD in computer science, specialized in semantic interpretation of data. She leads a team of around ten researchers in the framework of a scientific programme determined together with Randstad, which covers three main areas: using data effectively, modelling (of business expertise, employment pools, candidates, etc.) and the explainability of algorithms, a big ethics concern and whose stakes are high with the current development of “machine learning” approaches. The aim is to be able to control the decisions made by the learning algorithms, being able to detect and limit possible biases. AI has many uses for recruitment: better matching between profiles and job offers, CV analysis, skills mapping to facilitate bridges between jobs, emotion detection from video sequences, etc… Far from replacing the work of consultants, technology opens up new perspectives. According to Accenture’s “Future Workforce” study published in early 2018, investments in AI and human-machine collaboration could enable companies to boost their revenue by 38% by 2022.
Illuin Technology will be the applied R&D partner of the Research Chair allowing each initiative to be tested operationally or to be transformed as soon as possible into a tool or product.
